亞拉德和塔爾跟大多數以色列青年不一樣，他們服完義務役後繼續就讀大學，畢業後再服完數個月的後備役，終於在五個月前開始他們的大旅行。
以哈戰爭爆發後，亞拉德多次被以色列國防軍徵召，在加薩和黎巴嫩邊境服役。五月回以色列後，他將再度回到軍隊，前往撒馬利亞猶大地服役。
亞拉德過去在軍隊和工作時有科技工程專業，但他感到科技無法根本改變人類問題，在大學時選擇攻讀政治學，對公共事務很有負擔，將來期待投入以色列政界服務。
由於亞拉德對政治歷史很感興趣，吃飯時我們除了談論很多以巴衝突議題，他也關切兩岸局勢、台灣國防、中共侵台野心等問題，並表達他身為以色列人對台灣民主和人民的支持。
在每次接待前，我們都求神賜下口才和當說的話 (出4:12；弗6:19)，能在不同話題中向猶太朋友傳講彌賽亞的福音。由於亞拉德熱衷政治話題，我就「順水推舟」，從以色列到台灣、從政治轉到信仰，我分享台灣教會倚靠神的禱告見證，鼓勵將來有心投入政治的他，不要忘記身為猶太人和神的選民，尋求神並信靠神應許的彌賽亞，才是以色列真正的盼望。
我跟亞拉德和塔爾分享說：
「台灣防空飛彈密度排名世界第二，僅次於以色列；但更重要的是，台灣有東亞密度最高的復興禱告小組。目前台灣大約有四萬個禱告小組，晝夜為中華民國的平安禱告。因為台灣真正的倚靠不是美國或軍事能力，而是那位掌管歷史的神。」
❝Taiwan’s air defense missile density ranks second in the world, only behind Israel. But more importantly, Taiwan has the highest density of Revival Prayer Groups in East Asia. So far there are about 40,000 prayer groups in Taiwan, praying day and night for the peace of the Republic of China. Because we truly believe Taiwan’s true reliance is not on the United States or military capability, but on the God of Israel who governs human history.❞
「以色列雖然軍事能力強大，擁有全世界密度最高的防空飛彈系統，又有全世界最強大的美國支持，但是在以色列政府和人民中間有很大分裂，沒有同心倚靠神。身為愛以色列的基督徒，我們對此感到非常憂心。」
❝Although Israel has strong military capabilities, possessing the world’s highest density of air defense missile systems and the support of the most powerful nation the United States, there is great division among the Israeli government and people. They are not united in relying on the God of Israel. As Israel-loving believers, we are deeply concerned about this situation.❞
「你們的先祖大衛王在詩篇20:7、146:3-5說：『有人靠車有人靠馬，我們卻靠耶和華我們神的名』；『你們不要倚靠君王，不要倚靠世人，他一點不能幫助！⋯⋯以雅各的神為幫助、仰望耶和華他神的，這人便為有福！』」
❝Your ancestor King David said in Psalms 20:7 and 146:3-5: ‘Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of Adonai our God.‘ ‘Do not put your trust in princes— in man, in whom there is no salvation……Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in Adonai his God.’❞
「許多台灣基督徒不只為台灣禱告，也為以色列的救恩禱告。我們禱告以色列人民能同心轉向神且倚靠神，並且認識神在希伯來聖經應許你們的彌賽亞和救贖主，他是以色列唯一的盼望，他就是耶穌！」
❝Many Taiwanese believers not only pray for Taiwan but also for the salvation of Israel. We pray that the people of Israel will turn to and rely on God in unity, coming to know the Messiah and Redeemer promised for you in the Tanakh. He is Israel’s only HOPE—He is Yeshua!❞
「三十年前我們相信耶穌，親身經歷他拯救且改變我們的生命。這就是為什麼我們愛猶太人並且接待你們，因為我們渴望跟你們分享這位猶太彌賽亞的福音，他原是你們的彌賽亞，並且首先為你們而來！」
❝Thirty years ago we came to faith in Yeshua and personally experienced that He saved and transformed our lives. That’s why we love and host the Jewish people, because we long to share the good news of the Jewish Messiah with you. After all, He is originally your Messiah and first came for you!❞
